TRANSFORMERS: UNITY

PANEL ONE
In a street on Cybertron, buildings are damaged from battle. Two Sharkticons bear down on a small Proto-Matter Predacon. The Predacon fires his weapon at them, but it has little effect.

Of all the times for a quasar jam!

7 RADIO (OPTIMUS PRIMAL)
Cheetor, just stay where you are. We’ll find you.

PAGE TWO

PANEL ONE
The two Sharkticons tear at the debris, trying to get to Cheetor. Cheetor transforms to his alt-mode and accelerates backwards away from the Sharkticons.

1 CHEETOR
No can do, Big-Bot.

PANEL TWO
Cheetor accelerates forward, using the debris as a ramp, flying between the Sharkticons who take a swipe at him but miss.

2 RADIO (OPTIMUS PRIMAL)
Airazor, do you have a visual?

3 RADIO (AIRAZOR)
I’m scanning as broadly as I can, but it’s not exactly a nice day downtown.

PANEL THREE
Cheetor speeds down a street past dead Maximals, Predacons and Sharkticons.

4 CHEETOR
Relax, Optimus, they can’t keep up with the golden rock-

PANEL FOUR
Cheetor screeches sideways, crashing into the leg of an Allicon.

5 CHEETOR
Urgh!

6 RADIO (OPTIMUS PRIMAL)
Cheetor? Come in!

7 SFX
SCREEEE-CHUNG

PANEL FIVE
Cheetor transforms back to robot mode and scrambles backwards away from three Allicons who cast ominous shadows over him.

8 CHEETOR
Optimus? If you’re there...

PANEL SIX

Someone call the cavalry?

PANEL TWO
Rattrap and Rhinox look over the body of one of the dead Allicons.

2 RATTRAP
Sharkticons on Cybertron. How’s it possible?

3 RHINOX
The hows can wait for later. We’ve gotta move.

PANEL THREE
Optimus gives Dinobot a hand getting to his feet. Dinobot clutches the wound in his side.

4 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Rhinox is right. Do you have shelter?

5 DINOBOT
There will be no shelter from this.

6 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Maybe not, but we’ve got a better chance of making it if we stick together.

PANEL FOUR
Rattrap steps up to Optimus’ side, protesting. Optimus gives him a glare.

7 RATTRAP
What are you, nuts? I ain’t helpin’ this stinkin’ Pred!

8 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Shut up, Rattrap.

PANEL FIVE
A shot of Airazor (in her alt-mode), who is flying above the buildings. We can see buildings in the background on fire.

10 RADIO (OPTIMUS PRIMAL)
How many?

11 AIRAZOR
You don’t want to know.

PANEL SIX
Optimus and the crew on the ground transform to their alt-modes and tear away down the street.

12 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Let’s move it, bots.

PAGE FIVE

PANEL ONE
An external shot of a dilapidated, bombed-out old building. This whole area of Cybertron is in a similar condition. This part of the planet hasn’t seen the same prosperity as others since the end of the Great War.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (MEGATRON)
With the planet sufficiently distracted, we’ve been presented an opportunity to accelerate our plans.

PANEL TWO
Inside the building, three figures are silhouetted against a wall of computer screens casting an eerie blue light in the chamber which is just as dilapidated as the outside of the building, with wiring hanging out of the ceiling. All three figures stand with their backs to the readers -- they are Blackarachnia, Megatron and Terrorsaur. Blackarachnia and Megatron are studying the screens which show footage from around the planet and the battles in the streets. Terrorsaur looks up at Megatron, protesting.

Note: Megatron has a model like Generations 2015 Leader Megatron. Blackarachnia has a model like Generations Chromia. Terrorsaur has a model like Generations Scourge

2 TERRORSAUR
Distracted?! It’s gone to slag!

3 MEGATRON
Yes, but as usual, Terrorsaur, you fail to see opportunity when it presents itself.

PANEL THREE
An angle across the three figures. Megatron is leaning in closer to study the screens. Blackarachnia is looking down as she types into an interface. Terrorsaur looks at Megatron with a glare.

4 BLACKARACHNIA
It’ll be in lockdown.

5 MEGATRON
For which we’ll be relying on your skills, Blackarachnia. But with an invasion in full-swing, I’m willing to bet it will be unguarded. Get to work.

PANEL FOUR
Megatron is walking away from the wall of screens. Terrorsaur walks behind him, maintaining his protests.

6 TERRORSAUR
We can’t go out into that!

7 MEGATRON
Those archaic beasts should be of no concern to you. If history tells us anything, it’s that Sharkticons can’t fly.

8 TERRORSAUR
But-

PANEL FIVE
Megatron is nose to nose with Terrorsaur, an anger-filled glare all over his face. Terrorsaur recoils from the ferocity of Megatron’s words.

9 MEGATRON
Being eaten alive is nothing compared to what I will do to you if you fail in your part of the plan.

10 MEGATRON
Now find me a ship.

PANEL SIX
Megatron is holding a small communication device, through which he speaks with Inferno, but turns it off halfway through his response. Scorponok stands at Megatron’s side. In the background, Waspinator has placed a consoling arm around the shoulder of Terrorsaur as the two of them leave the chamber.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL
We’ve been here before. All of us.

PANEL TWO
A closer shot of the three figures, looking in through the glass at them. We can see them in greater detail. They stand sternly looking out. Behind them, Tarantulas mans a computer terminal at the wall.

Note: Tarantulas has a model like Combiner Wars Rook

2 DIALOGUE PANEL
Slaves to the cycle of war and peace, invasion and rebellion.

PANEL THREE
(Flashback) Four Sharkticons, in a formation similar to the Tripredacus Council and Tarantulas in the panel above, stand in a Cybertronian street. They are fighting Autobots and Decepticons.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL
History would say that the darkest legacy of Quintesson occupation was the division of Cybertron’s population -- a line down which the planet would later be torn.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL
History is only partly right.

PANEL FOUR
(Flashback) A street is littered with dead Autobots, Decepticons and Sharkticons. A lone Autobot stands with one foot on the dead body of a Sharkticon. He is holding a sword. He’s won, but his body language is remorseful. He is looking up at the sky where Quintesson ships blast off into space.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL
The devastating irony of Cybertron’s emancipation was that that those the inhabitants were made to fight against were once their brothers. But after an age of enslavement, the planet’s desperation for freedom justified such a sacrifice.

PAGE SEVEN

PANEL ONE
(Flashback) On an alien world, Sharkticons swarm forward, overwhelming the inhabitants who are trying to flee.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL
Blind in our shells of teeth and anger, we were an expendable resource fuelling the brutal spread of Quintesson control, though their eye never strayed far from Cybertron.

PANEL TWO
(Flashback) A small Proto-Matter Predacon charges forward next to a larger, G1-scale Predacon. The small Predacon is holding a shield on which is emblazoned the Predacon insignia. The small Predacon is only about as tall as the large Predacon’s knee.

2 DIALOGUE PANEL
Plans for its reclamation were given life by the rise of a new faction.

PANEL THREE
Back in the present, we have a tight shot of the three faces of the Tripredacus Council members as they glare down at the streets below.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL
War and peace. Invasion and rebellion.

PANEL FOUR
An angle looking down over the Council members’ shoulders. We can see the streets burning below. The Council members are looking back over their shoulders as a voice has caught their attention.

4 DIALGUE PANEL
Today, we break the cycle.

5 QUINTESSON JUDGE (OP)
Generals...

PAGE EIGHT

PANEL ONE
The three Predacons have turned around. A Quintesson Judge, two Quintesson Executioners and three Sharkticons have entered the chamber.

1 SEA CLAMP
My Lord. It is our honour to present: Cybertron. You return to this world a conqueror.

2 QUINTESSON JUDGE
An irrelevant formality, but has an official offer of surrender been received?

3 CICADACON
It is only a matter of time.

4 QUINTESSON JUDGE
Be sure it is.

PANEL TWO
At the computer terminal against the wall of the chamber Tarantulas wrings his hands together evilly. The Judge and his cohorts stand at the window looking out.

5 QUINTESSON JUDGE
Tarantulas, signal the fleet.

6 TARANTULAS
Oh, at once. Ti-hi-he-heh...

7 QUINTESSON JUDGE
The transformation of the populace will commence upon its arrival.

8 SEA CLAMP
My Lord?

PANEL THREE
The Judge looks down at Ram Horn with its Death Face.

9 QUINTESSON JUDGE
Freedom has never suited the Cybertronians. The planet is to be returned to its former glory.

10 RAM HORN
And our fate?

11 QUINTESSON JUDGE
The restoration of your autonomy will be a curious footnote in the reclamation of this world -- that a mere five were able to bring it to its knees. But it was only ever a means to an end, and with that end achieved, we have no need for its continuation.

PANEL FOUR
Two red laser tracers target the chest and head of one of the Quintesson Executioners, who is the only one of the group to notice.

12 CICADACON
Decitor foresaw this. He likened individuality to vulnerability.

13 QUINTESSON JUDGE
Yes, tell me of Decitor. Your report was lacking in-

PANEL TWO
The second Quintesson Executioner receives two laser blasts, killing it.

3 QUINTESSON JUDGE

PANEL THREE
The three Tripredacus Council members stand at the front. Ravage, who is de-cloaking, and Tarantulas, stand behind them. An imposing five figures.

Note: Ravage has a model like Combiner Wars Breakdown

5 CICADACON
Freedom gave rise to ambition. But not Decitor -- he remained resolutely loyal and because of this, he was removed.

PANEL FOUR
The Quintesson Judge barks a command at the Sharkticons, but they round on the Judge, eyeing it off like prey.

6 QUINTESSON JUDGE
Sharkticons, destroy them!

7 SEA CLAMP
No, they won’t. Even under all the suppressive programming, they can feel the shift.

PANEL FIVE
The Quintesson Judge is backed up against the glass looking out onto Cybertron as the Sharkticons encroach on it.

8 QUINTESSON JUDGE
You are nothing without your fifth component!

9 SEA CLAMP
We are remade. We are whole. We are...

PANEL ONE
The combined form of Predacus, sword in hand, is an imposing figure to be seen.

1 PREDACUS
PREDACUS!

PANEL TWO
Predacus brandishes its sword threateningly at the Quintesson Judge.

2 PREDACUS
You stand here, exposed, answerable only to us. How do we judge you -- guilty or innocent?

3 PREDACUS
Sharkticons...

PANEL THREE
The Sharkticons launch themselves at the Quintesson Judge, biting it. The Judge is thrown backwards through the glass.

4 PREDACUS

PANEL ONE
Tigatron and Rattap lead the convoy of Maximals and Dinobot through a street at high speed. In the background, Sharkticons are in hot pursuit.

1 RATTRAP
Oh man. Is it just me or are these streets gettin’ narrower?

2 TIGATRON
I have every faith in Airazor, Rattrap. You should too.

PANEL TWO
Looking directly upward from beside Tigatron, we can see Airazor flying high overhead.

3 RATTRAP
What I wouldn’t give to trade my wheels for some wings. I’d have high-tailed it out of here by now.

4 TIGATRON
Then we should be thankful that you are not our guide. Where you would flee, thinking only of yourself, her actions are selfless, risking her life to find us safe passage through the storm.

PANEL THREE
Cheetor speeds up alongside Tigatron and Rattrap at the front of the convoy.

5 RATTRAP
Risk? The storm ain’t up there!

6 CHEETOR
I’m not so sure. Look!

PANEL FOUR
A group of Sharkticons are scaling the outside of a building. They are nearly at the top. Airazor can be seen flying towards them. She makes a sharp turn to avoid a Sharkticon which has leapt from the building with jaw and arms wide, trying to attack her.

7 RADIO (OPTIMUS PRIMAL)
Airazor! Evasive manoeuvres! Get out of there!

PANEL ONE
Tigatron transforms and catches Airazor just before she would have hit the ground.

1 TIGATRON
Got you!

PANEL TWO
Tigatron hits the ground hard and skids, but cradles Airazor safely.

2 TIGATRON
Urghh...

PANEL THREE
Optimus and the crew, all in their robot modes, crowd around Tigatron and Airazor, having caught up. Rattrap looks over his shoulder with a look of fear.

3 RHINOX
Nice catch.

4 RATTRAP
Uh, Optimus...

PANEL FOUR
Optimus and the crew are surrounded by Sharkticons. Tigatron cradles Airazor’s body in the middle of the group, but still has his blaster raised in one hand. Dinobot has his sword up and everyone else also has their blasters raised but they have no hope of fighting their way out.

5 RATTRAP
I hate to say it, but we’re trapped like-

Scorponok joins Megatron and Inferno in the Archive having climbed through the hole in the floor. Megatron speaks into his small communications device.

1 RADIO (BLACKARACHNIA)
There. Quiet as a crypt.

2 MEGATRON
Good. Continue to monitor our progress and report on any developments.

PANEL TWO
Megatron looks around the chamber proudly, eyeing it like a conqueror.

3 MEGATRON
Deserted, as I suspected. When the future of the planet is at stake, the past is left to fend for itself.

4 MEGATRON
I’ve dreamed of walking these halls. Cybertron’s history, locked away, too dangerous for its own good.

PANEL THREE
Both Scorponok and Inferno salute as Megatron gives them orders.

5 MEGATRON
Inferno, guard this area. This could be our only means of escape.

6 MEGATRON
Scorponok, see what gifts the Maximals may have for us.

PANEL FOUR
Megatron walks off into the relative darkness of the chamber.

7 MEGATRON
As for me -- I will chase a myth.

PAGE FIFTEEN

PANEL ONE
An angle from high inside a vast, dark, cavernous, metallic chamber. Far below we can see the very small figures of Optimus and his crew, as well as Dinobot. The only light comes from the headlights on their bodies.

1 CHEETOR
Whoa! Where are we?

2 RHINOX
Somewhere old. Somewhere deep.

PANEL TWO
Airazor is weak and unsteady on her feet. She leans on Tigatron for support. Optimus and Rhinox look on concerned.

3 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Wherever we are, we have to keep moving.

4 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
How’s our patient?

5 AIRAZOR
I’m fine.

PANEL THREE
Airazor stumbles as she tries to take a step. Tigatron and Rhinox catch her. Optimus and Rhinox look at each other.

6 AIRAZOR
Urgh...

7 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
You may have to carry her.

8 TIGATRON
If the lady is to be carried...

PANEL FOUR
With Rhinox supporting Airazor, Tigatron transforms into his alt-mode. Optimus smiles.

9 TIGATRON
... then she shall ride in style.

10 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Well that’s just prime.

PANEL FIVE
Optimus points at Dinobot and Rattrap. Rattrap is standing next to Dinobot, who is still crouched on the ground, gripping his wound and clearly in pain. Cheetor, with blaster drawn, gives a thumbs up. Rhinox helps Airazor onto Tigatron’s roof.

11 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Cheetor, take point.

12 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
You two, optics sharp and cover the rear.

13 RATTRAP
You heard him -- on ya feet, Pred.

PAGE SIXTEEN

PANEL ONE
Rattrap glares at Dinobot, who tries to painfully get to his feet.

1 RATTRAP
Let’s get this straight -- one wrong move from you...

PANEL TWO
Dinobot is now standing upright and towers over Rattrap threateningly. This doesn’t stop Rattrap from pointing a finger up at Dinobot. In the background, Rhinox looks on.

2 DINOBOT
And what?

3 RATTRAP
Just try it.

4 RHINOX
Cool it, you two.

PANEL THREE
Rattrap elbows Dinobot in the large wound on his side. Dinobot coils in pain.

PANEL FOUR
Dinobot hits the floor in great pain. Rhinox places a hand on the shoulder of Dinobot. Optimus gives Rattrap a glare as he approaches, but Rattrap gives a shrug, bemused.

7 RATTRAP
I barely touched him!

8 DINOBOT
Just leave me.

PANEL FIVE
Rhinox and Optimus bring Dinobot to his feet, supporting him on either side.

9 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
I thought Predacons were meant to be made of sterner stuff.

10 DINOBOT
Your friend needs urgent aid.

11 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
She’s not the only one. And besides, we’ve lost enough good bots today, so let’s roll out.

PANEL FOUR
The combined form of Axalon (made up of Optimus Primal (torso), Cheetor and Tigatron (arms), Rhinox and Dinobot (legs) and Rattrap (chest)) strikes Predacus with a double-handed uppercut, reminiscent of Optimus Prime’s punch to Megatron in TF:TM (1986).

Maximus Prime’s troops surround Predacus, which lies stricken on the ground. Axalon begins to disassemble.

Maximals, this planet owes you a debt of gratitude.

Not all the parts are Maximal...

PANEL TWO
Axalon is completely disassembled now as Optimus and his crew stand proudly. Optimus places a hand on Dinobot’s shoulder.

3 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
But they are equal.

PANEL THREE
The five members of Predacus are now disassembled also. They sit on the ground under guard of Maximus Prime’s troops.

4 OPTIMUS PRIMAL (OP)
Today may be remembered as the beginning of a stronger, united Cybertron.

5 MAXIMUS PRIME (OP)
I wish I shared your optimism.

--- END ISSUE ---
BotCon 2016 will have a Beast Wars theme in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the toy line and TV series. When this news first broke, my mind began to race with ideas for the convention comic. It probably comes as no surprise to any of you that it's a dream of mine to have something I've written canonised in an official Transformers comic.

I contacted FunPub, the organisers of the BotCon conventions, to see if they'd be open to me pitching them an idea for the comic. Unfortunately, they weren't.

But the idea for the story wouldn't leave me alone, so instead of trying to ignore it, I put pen to paper and so Transformers: Unity is here in full for you to enjoy.

It was a fun little story to put together, especially coming up with another origin story for the Tripredacus Council. The story also utilises the Predacus combiner whose toys will be released at the convention.

Please note, the story is stand alone. It has no connection to my Transversal Continuity.

Oh please, please have this turned into a real comicbook and the seven Combiner Wars Maximals become real toys. Hasbro better turn them into real toys, but I'd prefer Combiner Wars Optimus Primal to have the body and modes of the Decepticon Apeface (see Transformers Headmasters).

Thanks for taking the time to read the script :) I really appreciate it.

I might team up with some artists down the track and bring the pages to life. Sadly until then, it's up to our imaginations.

I like this a lot! But I was wondering if you'd ever make a few drawn panels? I really think that this idea is meant to be drawn out!

Thanks very much for reading it :)

I've worked with many artists in bringing some of my scripts to life (you can see the finished comics here: :icontf-tvc:) but I've never considered doing it with this one. If an artist came forward who was keen to do a page or two of it, I'd be more than happy for them to do so. The scripts exist for people to enjoy in any way they life.

Thanks for providing me with the comics!

I don't think my art will be of interest to you, but do you accept humanized works of Transformers characters?

Hmm. Honestly, I would have put Rattrap as being based on CW Blackjack rather than Groove, considering Optimus is based on Optimus/Motormaster and Blackjack's able to combine with that torso mold. (plus a little nod to Transmetal Rattrap, who had a four wheeled "transportation mode")

That said, this was an interesting read!

I picked Groove because he also forms a chest-plate piece, and the motorbike alt-mode is a reference to Rattrap's 2006 BotCon toy. But you're right, given that the toy has to plug into a Optimus/Motormaster figure, he'd be better served being based on Blackjack.

I'm delighted you took the time to sit down and give the story a read. I really appreciate it :D

Well, since the notice popped up from :iconiacon-city:, I thought to take a peak.

Rhinox definitely fits the bulky powerhouse look Rook offers, and Optimus certainly is kind of gorilla-like. (SO excited for that Masterpiece Primal!)

I enjoy the story. I like some of your alt mode choices. One that didn't fit for me was Waspinator from Scourge. Have you considered Alpha Bravo? The buzzing and flapping wings on a wasp always struck me as being helicopter like, like jet-like. Something like this: www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachm…

Thanks for taking the time to read it :)

I chose Scourge because I wanted non-Combiner bodies for Megatron and his crew. With Primal's team as well as Predacus, there were already 10 or 11 Combiner bots in there. Adding more seemed like overkill ;p Also, I'm a big fan of the Transmetal Waspinator toy, which turns into a jet. Turning Waspy into a chopper never even occurred to me, but now that you say that, it would make sense.

Always tell a good story. I sometimes had to check myself, to make sure I wasn't just getting caught up in fan references and such. Just make sure the story is good.

It was BotCon that turned me down, so we'll see what they offer us next year to go with the Predacus toys.

And yes, I couldn't resist giving Dinobot a good entrance.

Undoubtedly! I sure hope they do considering next year is the 20th anniversary. If I could have a say, I'd make sure all the cast of BW got Voyager-sized toys. ^_^ I'd like to see some Fuzors or BW II figs make their way back to the market too like Bonecrusher and Lio Convoy. :D That'd be cool to see some of them again.

Takara have made some mention of a Beast Wars festival for next year. No details have been announced, but they're probably the people to look to rather than Hasbro, who will be too preoccupied with Titan's Return toys.

Page 5: Is it clever to have two characters with the same body type (Generations Scourge) standing next to each other?

8 -1: I'd split An irrelevant formality but has an official offer of surrender been received? into two sentences: An irrelevant formality. Has an official offer of surrender been received?

15-3: "each 0ther" with a zero? How did that happen?
15-4: The catchphrase seems shoehorned in.

18-4: I WAS thinking in the beginning that the selection of bodies would yield a combiner...

So did I get this right? The Tripredacus Council somehow sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons, and when the Quintessons tried to get rid of them, they got rid of the Quintessons?

Lemniskate! :D It's just like the old days :)

Page 5: I wanted Cybertronian bodies as much as I could and quite liked the look of Generations Scourge. As the characters would be quite different in colour if the pages were ever produced (red vs green), they should be easy enough to tell apart. I live in hope, anyway.

8-1: The offer of surrender is the irrelevant formality, not the Quintesson re-conquest of Cybertron, so it needs to be one sentence.

15-3: Haha! Maybe because I'm so used to spelling Rhinox with a 1 and a 0 that it slipped in.

15-4: Primal is always impressed by acts of selflessness and teamwork. It seemed like the opportune time to use it, but I understand what you mean. This is a comic meant for a convention full of fans -- they want all the old catchphrases in there, and as many references as possible. Airazor riding Tigatron is itself a reference to the episode 'The Trigger Part 2".

18-4: Yep. It's pretty obvious that they'll end up as a Combiner when I outline the bodies at the start. I'm just hoping how they get to that point is interesting (and more than a casual reference to Beast Machines, making this story a tribute to the Beast era, not just Beast Wars. I know -- I surprise even myself because I dislike Beast Machines greatly)

The Tripredacus Council (along with Tarantulas and Decitor) were Sharkticons. The Quints gave them back autonomy and sent them to Cybertron during the final stages of the Great War to undermine the planet and deliver it back into the hands of the Squids. The 5 hid amid the Predacons and worked their way up until they were ready to act. They facilitated the Sharkticon invasion of the planet (probably by taking down Cybertron's defenses (that's got Tarantulas written all over it)) and then the Quints rolled in victorious. But the Council always wanted Cybertron for themselves. They knew the Quints would want to turn them back into mindless Sharkticons, so they killed the Quints. So yes, you got it right.

Huh. Nostalgia comes early these days :)

8-1: I see. I wasn't looking at the preceding sentence. Would you at least consider putting a comma between formality and but?

15-3: P0ss1ble ;)

Is being a Sharkticon a state of mind or is the shark-like body a prerequisite? I mean, there's nothing in the text that indicates that the Tripredacus Council, Tarantulas and Decitor were reformatted from Sharkticon bodies into their Combiner Wars toy bodies (or at least I'm incapable of reading the text in this way). I know that this is knowledge that both parties have and therefore shouldn't repeat to each other, but as far as I know, the idea that Sharkticons can be reformatted into more standard bodies is a new idea (if so, kudos!), so there is no other continuity the reader can take their knowledge from. As much as I'm against overt exposition, I feel like this detail (reformatted from Sharkticon bodies and minds being enhanced) should be made overt in the dialogue itself. Or, I dunno, someone mentioning in disgust/panic that they don't want to get back to those clumsy fish bodies and limited minds.

Oh, and seems like Decitor made the wrong decition ;) [This pun only works with an American accent, since in American English intervocalic t is pronounced d.]

Haha, well it was a welcome sight to see an old friend back.

8-1: For you, I'll put a comma in :)

15-3: Either that, or o is next to 0.

My fear for this story was that the fact the Tripredacus boys were once Sharkticons wouldn't translate. That was the goal of the whole flashback sequence, to communicate that point, but it seems I've missed the mark slightly. I tried to communicate it more through the (potential) artwork rather than spelling it out outright.

Page 6, panel 2 and 3, where the flashback initiates, has the Trip boys standing in one panel, and then the Sharkticons stand in a similar position once the flashback begins. It's subtle, but my hope is that it would work.

Page 7, panel 1, the dialogue is "blind in our shells of teeth and anger, we were an expendable resource..." again referencing them being Sharkticons.

Then later on, we have the talk of autonomy being stripped from them -- referencing them being turned back into Sharkticons. Maybe I've been a little too subtle, too much reading between the lines needed, but it goes back to the old adage: Show, don't tell. It's an aspect of my writing I've been trying to improve on -- relying on the artwork to help tell the story.

Haha, yes, Decitor should have enjoyed his freedom more.
