TRANSFORMERS: DEICIDE

Issue #2 (of 4)

PAGE ONE

PANEL ONE
A shot from a distance of the Predacon Citadel - a great tower stretching up into the Cybertronian sky. An imposing building. Home of the Tripredacus Council.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL
Predacon Citadel.

PANEL TWO
The large fist of Magmatron wraps on a large door.

2 SFX
DUUNG DUUNG

PANEL THREE
Magmatron stares up at the tower stretching above him. A great set of doors are before him, but they remain resolutely shut.

PANEL FOUR
A computer screen at the side of the door comes to life with the face of a sly-looking Predacon named Gouge. Magmatron looks to the screen.

3 SFX
PWI (Computer coming to life)

4 GOUGE
Can I be of some assistance?

5 MAGMATRON
Open the door, Gouge.

PANEL FIVE
Magmatron looms over the small computer screen, trying to impose himself.

6 GOUGE
I’m afraid I cannot facilitate your request.

7 MAGMATRON
I have to speak with them.

8 GOUGE
Regrettably, they are unable to receive you at this time.

PAGE TWO

PANEL ONE
A close-up of Magmatron’s face, who is enraged. His face is illuminated by the computer screen, which he is leaning very close to.

1 MAGMATRON
That won’t be the only thing you regret, now open the slagging door!

PANEL TWO
A close up of the computer screen. Gouge continues to smile slyly.

2 GOUGE
They pass on their apologies and hope the matter wasn’t urgent.

PANEL THREE
The computer screen switches to an image of the Predacon logo.

3 SFX
PWI

PANEL FOUR
The same shot as Panel Three, but this time a large dagger is plunged into the screen, Magmatron’s hand wrapped around its handle. Glass splinters off from the screen.

4 SFX
KKSSSHHHHHH

PANEL FIVE
Magmatron marches away from the doors. He is in a fury.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL (MAGMATRON)
The betrayal of the Predacons is complete.

PAGE THREE

PANEL ONE
Magmatron and Lyo stand in front of the Maximal Imperium -- Silverbolt, Ironhide and Prowl -- who sit at a large, imposing lectern above them.

1 MAGMATRON
The Tripredacus Council refuse their obligations of command, and have abandoned us to die.

PANEL TWO
The Imperium look down at the two figures, studying them closely.

2 PROWL
You wish to defect?

3 MAGMATRON
Never.

4 PROWL
Then why are you here?

5 MAGMATRON
I need something.

PANEL THREE
A mid-shot of Magmatron, resolute as he looks up to the Imperium.

6 MAGMATRON
I need something to take to the Predacons, something to offer them, to bring them into this battle. I need a promise.

7 PROWL
Of what?

8 MAGMATRON
Freedom.

PANEL FOUR
An angle from behind Magmatron and Lyo, looking up to the Maximal leaders. Magmatron pleads his case to the Imperium.

9 IRONHIDE
The Predacons aren’t slaves.

10 MAGMATRON
And yet we aren’t truly free. The Pax Cybertronia-

11 SILVERBOLT
We haven’t got the time to redraw such a pivotal agreement.

12 MAGMATRON
No, but I want the promise that if we make it through, it will be.

PANEL FIVE
A close-up of Magmatron’s face, still resolute.

13 MAGMATRON
Predacons have been burnt with promises before, but if you can give it to me, I can get them fighting alongside.

PAGE FOUR

PANEL ONE
A shot from behind Ironhide, looking down on Lyo and Magmatron.

1 IRONHIDE
And why are you here, Lyo?

2 LYO
It was my idea. We need the Predacons, and if anyone can get them mobilised, it’s him.

PANEL TWO
A close-up of Prowl, looking stern.

3 PROWL
You must understand that a promise isn’t a blank cheque. The restrictions written into the Pax Cybertronia are there for good reason -- some will stay, others may not.

4 MAGMATRON (OS)
I have your word?

PANEL THREE
A shot of the Imperium, looking majestic, towering over the two figures. Magmatron bows.

5 SILVERBOLT
Become the leader we always feared you’d be, Magmatron. You have our word.

PANEL FOUR
Magmatron turns and walks from the Council Chambers. Lyo looks up to the Council.

6 LYO
Thank you.

PANEL FIVE
A shot from behind the Imperium, looking down onto Lyo.

7 IRONHIDE
I hope you’re right about him, Lyo.

8 LYO
Me too.

PAGE FIVE

PANEL ONE
Optimus Primal walks alongside Maximus Prime through a Maximal detention facility. The corridor is lined with empty cells.

1 MAXIMUS PRIME
What do you know of the Cybertronian Empire?

2 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Just stories really. They were a bit before my time.

3 MAXIMUS PRIME
And mine.

4 MAXIMUS PRIME
The fighters you encountered were on a survey mission. We’ve detected a large armada of Empire ships moving towards Cyberton.

PANEL TWO
Maximus looks at Optimus as they walk.

5 MAXIMUS PRIME
Any correlation between their return and your own has to be dispelled.

6 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Our appearance wouldn’t be enough for that?

PANEL THREE
Maximus and Optimus walk on.

7 MAXIMUS PRIME
I can’t imagine what you and your crew have been through. You’ve finished one war only to find another waiting for you.

PANEL FOUR
Maximus stops at a darkened holding Cell. Electro-bars surround it.

8 MAXIMUS PRIME
I’m not going to lie -- it’ll be tight. You may not think the seven of you would make much of a difference, but we need every solider we can get.

9 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Seven?

10 MEGATRON (OS)
Congratulations, Primal…

PAGE SIX

PANEL ONE
The Cell illuminates, and inside it is Megatron, in his Season 1 T-Rex body, restrained with some electro-bonds. Megatron smiles smugly.

1 MEGATRON
You’ve achieved nothing more than providing me a warm homecoming.

PANEL TWO
Optimus turns to Maximus Prime, horror-stricken. Megatron continues to smile smugly in the background.

2 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
You can’t be serious!

3 MAXIMUS PRIME
He’s offered to fight.

4 MEGATRON
My actions have always been for the conquest of Cybertron. How can I achieve that if it’s been destroyed?

PANEL THREE
A close-up of Optimus’ face, still covered in horror.

5 OPTIMUS PRIMAL
He is not an asset. If we get through this, there will be no recapturing him.

PANEL FOUR
Maximus Prime stares at Megatron in his cage. Megatron’s smile is now more slight.

6 MAXIMUS PRIME
Noted.

7 MEGATRON
One way or another, Primal, I will get out of this cage.

PAGE SEVEN

PANEL ONE
Magmatron stands in front of a large gathering of Predacons. The chamber is packed full of Predacons of all shapes and sizes.

1 MAGMATRON
Predacons, we have been used -- a host for a feeding parasite.

PANEL TWO
A closer shot of Magmatron, showing the passion in his eyes.

2 MAGMATRON
This Tripredacus Council has sucked the life from us, and now, in what could have been a defining moment for our faction -- a re-emergence from the depths -- they bury themselves away!

3 MAGMATRON
This is not what it means to be a Predacon!

PANEL THREE
An angle from behind Magmatron, who gestures passionately and strongly, trying to appeal to every Predacon Spark. The Predacons in the audience look on.

4 MAGMATRON
The time is upon us to choose: Roll over and die, or retake control of our own fate!

5 MAGMATRON
The failure of our forefathers still burns, and ever since we’ve had to scrape out an existence under the ever-watchful Maximal eye -- a generation on, we are still seen as war criminals. But no longer!

PANEL FOUR
Magmatron grips the sides of the rostra he is orating behind.

6 MAGMATRON
The time has come to move forward, to show our Maximal brothers that we are equals on this world -- as prepared to lay down our Sparks to protect it as they are!

PANEL FIVE
A shot of the crowd, arms raised into the air in loud agreement with Magmatron.

7 MAGMATRON (OS)
We’ve long suffered, succumbed to our denial and rotted in anger, but we are better than that. The sweetest victories are the ones hardest fought, and none have fought harder than us!

PANEL SIX
At the back of the room full of Predacons stands Lyo, arms crossed, but smiling.

8 MAGMATRON (OS)
There will be dark days ahead, believe me, but we will be there to greet the light of freedom when it washes over our Sparks!

PAGE EIGHT

PANEL ONE
Back on the Astral Plane, Primus holds out his hands. Cupped in them is a single glowing Spark. The Spark took the attention of the Vok Entity from studying its own form. It glared at the Spark.

1 PRIMUS
This is the Spark of the one you know as Tarantulas.

2 VOK ENTITY
A vile creature.

3 PRIMUS
From the moment of your creation, you have sought an answer to the greatest of all questions. My hope was that you would discover the answer on your own, but Time, and circumstance, have been against us.

PANEL TWO
Primus brought the Spark up to his face and studied it closely.

4 PRIMUS
Tarantulas’ demise provided me with an opportunity to bring you here -- to fulfil your quest for understanding.

PANEL THREE
To the Vok Entity’s surprise, Primus handed it the Spark.

5 PRIMUS
Tarantulas walked a difficult path, made so by the abuses of subsequent and ever-darker masters.

PANEL FOUR
The Vok Entity was very uncomfortable holding the Spark. Primus looks on as he studies both the Vok Entity and the Spark.

6 PRIMUS
Their influence twisted his perception of the Universe, and thus his own attempts at understanding were as equally warped.

7 VOK ENTITY
His fate?

8 PRIMUS
Quite literally lies now in your hands.

PANEL FIVE
An angle from the front of both Primus and the Entity, who exchange looks.

9 PRIMUS
You could destroy him. There is no denying that his actions have been to the detriment of many others.

10 VOK ENTITY
Or?

11 PRIMUS
Or he will return to the Allspark, unable to harm again.

PAGE NINE

PANEL ONE
The Entity now studies the Spark more closely.

1 VOK ENTITY
The Allspark -- the eternal refuge for your creations.

PANEL TWO
A close-up of hands. The Vok Entity hands back the Spark to Primus.

2 PRIMUS
Refuge, perhaps.

PANEL THREE
A close-up of Primus’ hands, which he rolls, concealing the Spark.

3 PRIMUS
But eternal?

PANEL FOUR
The same shot of Primus’ hands, but his hands are now open, and the Spark has vanished.

4 PRIMUS
No.

PANEL FIVE
Primus returned his stare to the expanse before the two figures.

5 PRIMUS
I have fought Unicron for an immeasurable time, but now that battle is coming to an end.

6 VOK ENTITY
You wish us to join your fight?

7 PRIMUS
You have been a part of this fight your entire life. It gave rise to your creation, and will answer the question that has defined your existence.

PANEL SIX
The Vok Entity stares out into the expanse, lost in thought.

8 VOK ENTITY
Why were we created.

PAGE TEN

PANEL ONE
A planet emerged behind Primus and the Vok Entity. The Vok Entity turned to look at the world, baking under three suns.

1 PRIMUS
I have seen life burst from rock on a world scorched by three suns, emerge from a planet drenched in perpetual darkness, and seemingly spring forth from the very fabric of Space itself.

2 PRIMUS
For countless eons I have studied these phenomena and I am still amazed by the arrival of life from nothing -- with no agenda or purpose beyond simply being.

PANEL TWO
The sun-baked world disappeared, but in front of the figures rose a world made of metal - Cybertron.

3 PRIMUS
But you, and your Cybertronian siblings, are not of this kind -- you were no fluke or accident.

4 PRIMUS
As much as it may appear otherwise, your creation was purposeful, and it is your seeking of purpose, your search for why, which has driven you from your blind beginnings to this very point.

PANEL THREE
Primus again turns and looks at the Vok Entity, who is studying the apparition of Cybertron before them.

5 PRIMUS
To truly understand your place in the Universe, you cannot be told a story from halfway through.

PANEL FOUR
Everything is once consumed in a white, spiralling light.

6 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
We must start at the beginning.

PAGE ELEVEN

PANEL ONE
Another panel of white, spiralling light, but at its centre is a single white glowing orb.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Much like you, my genesis was engineered. The One -- an entity of immense power and understanding -- sought an answer to the only question remaining to it: What lay beyond Existence?

PANEL TWO
Two great spinning vortexes of swirling energy with Space behind them. One vortex is orange, the other is blue.

2 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
In order to seek the answer, The One severed the link between its consciousness and its body of energy that radiated in Trans-Dimensional Space. But instead of allowing this amassed energy to return to the breadth of reality, it split it in two, and crafted each half into a new entity.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Unicron and I were born with great power and intellect at our disposal, but The One did not share with us its wisdom -- that we would have to find for ourselves.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
With this final act of creation, The One moved beyond existence.

PANEL THREE
Through cracks in reality, aspects of the physical plane are seen. Things like planets, nebulas and stars. In the foreground, two glowing entities (Orange and Blue), now with a more solid shape, look on through the cracks.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Left to seek out answers to our own questions, we soon became aware of a second reality, one unlike our own, and while I was content to observe it through the cracks between the two realms, Unicron wished to experience this Plane of Physicality firsthand.

PANEL FOUR
Unicron and Primus, now with seemingly solid bipedal forms, battle each other. Unicron is clearly the greater of skill.

6 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I attempted to dissuade Unicron, arguing that we couldn’t know what repercussions would result from such an action, but he would not listen.

7 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I was left with no choice but to attempt to restrain him. It ended in a violent battle, and his subsequent escape.

PANEL FIVE
Primus lies injured from the battle. Unicron is seen through the cracks of reality, with a hand held out, pleading for help. He has a look of fear on his face.

8 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I watched on as he shifted his entire existence into the neighbouring reality, but unaware of its strange laws, Unicron was paralysed, and powerless to return.

9 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
He cried for help.  I was unwilling to help him, and ultimately unable with the injuries I had sustained. Even after the tear between the realities closed, his voice still echoed here.

10 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
In need of healing, and to block out his screams, I slept, hoping time would silence him.

PAGE TWELVE

PANEL ONE
Primus, now in the form we’ve seen him with in previous scenes, looks out from the Astral Plane.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
When I awoke, I was no longer in my birthplace of Trans-Dimensional Space, but here, on a higher, Astral Plane. What’s more, Unicron’s cries had ceased, but were now replaced by others -- billions of screams, all crying out for help.

2 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I discovered the source of their fear, and found it to be one I soon shared with them.

PANEL TWO
Unicron, as we know him in Transformers: The Movie, in planet mode, devouring a world.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Unicron.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Time had indeed silenced him, but it had also delivered him an understanding of the foreign reality, and a mastery of its laws.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Now a being of true darkness, he wasn’t simply destroying life, he was wiping away creation itself. He had to be stopped.

PANEL THREE
With Cybertron in the background, 13 silhouettes are in the foreground. We can’t see any specifics of their design, just that they are robotic. All their eyes are blue, and they shine out of the silhouettes.

6 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
At the centre of a lifeless, barren planetoid I created a node -- a machine through which I could act and influence the Physical reality. The planetoid was reformatted into a world of metal, and from its surface were carved The Thirteen.

7 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
They were the first warriors in the battle against Unicron, and those I hoped would force his retreat.

PANEL FOUR
On the Physical Realm, The Fallen locks swords with Prima.

8 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
During the course of the War, Unicron kidnapped one of the warriors -- Megatronus. He tortured him, twisting him into a servant of Unicron’s will, then sent this corrupted being to destroy its Brothers.

PANEL FIVE
Mirroring Panel Four, on the Astral Plane, Unicron locks swords with Primus.

9 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
This betrayal coincided with something I had never considered possible -- Unicron arrived here, on the Astral Plane.

10 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
His growing power and strength in the Physical realm catapulted his consciousness into this higher reality. So as Prima battled The Fallen below, I fought Unicron here.

PAGE THIRTEEN

PANEL ONE
A very low angle looking up. Prima lies on the ground, with only the broken hilt of his sword to protect himself. The Fallen stands over him, with his sword pointed at Prima’s chest. Behind them, in orbit, is Unicron, in planet-eating mode.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I was still no match for my Brother, and now the only hope was for a temporary removal of Unicron’s consciousness from this realm, which could only come about by the dispersal of his power below -- but there, things were not going well.

PANEL TWO
The same shot as the previous panel, but this time, a bright white light bursts from the broken hilt, consuming everything in its wake. Prima is just a silhouette.

2 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I sent Prima a weapon.

PANEL THREE
Prima is still lying on the ground. Grasped in his hands is the Matrix - forged from the broken hilt of his sword.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Unicron was vanquished and The Fallen had fled.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
With the Matrix, Unicron’s physical form could be destroyed, but his consciousness could only be defeated here. I knew I would never be his superior in battle, so I had to create someone that was.

PANEL FOUR
Prima stands on Cybertron. The Matrix is nestled on a metallic pedestal before him.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I spoke to Prima and told him of what had been, and of what was to come. Unicron was still alive in some fundamental form, but if he was able to regain enough power, he would once again return to the Astral Plane.

6 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
A new plan had to be devised to remove Unicron from existence entirely, as it was clear that he would never stop until all of creation was wiped clean.

PANEL FIVE
Prima, with his chest cavity open, releases a great number of Sparks into reality.

7 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I guided Prima through a process to populate the world. Bodies carved from the planet’s surface were once again brought to life.

PANEL SIX
Prima watches a cloud of white, pulsating energy drift away.

8 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
The process also created a second entity -- a small mass of pulsating energy -- that drifted off into Space.

PAGE FOURTEEN

PANEL ONE
Prima stands before a great gathering of robotic life-forms. He is holding a great tome. A figure at the head of the gathering holds the Matrix.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Prima handed down to them my teachings in the form of a Covenant, to guide them, and the Matrix, to defeat Unicron should he return.

PANEL TWO
Prima sits in a throne carved of rock. He is in deep contemplation.

2 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Prima then departed this newly populated world, leaving its inhabitants to construct a home.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
I had already asked too much of him, but still I asked for more. One final task -- a task that you would be well aware of had it gone to plan.

PANEL THREE
The Fallen looks into a pool of swirling green and black energy.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Far from Cybertron, The Fallen had found the diminished form of Unicron. He instructed his herald to find Prima and destroy him.

PANEL FOUR
A backdrop of white spiralling light brings us back into the present. In the centre of the panel is a close-up of the Vok Entity’s face, shocked.

5 DIALOGUE PANEL (PRIMUS)
Sadly for The Swarm, The Fallen succeeded.

PANEL FIVE
Primus stares out into the cosmos sadly. The Vok Entity is still shocked.

6 VOK ENTITY
The Swarm

7 VOK ENTITY
We were the Swarm!

8 PRIMUS
Yes, you were. Robbed of a meeting with Prima -- of adding him to your collective nature -- you remained the Swarm for longer than I had planned. Only upon your meeting with Optimus Prime and the Matrix did you finally take a step towards becoming something more -- towards what you were meant to be.

PAGE FIFTEEN

PANEL ONE
Maximus Prime stands alone on an outcrop overlooking an older part of Cybertron, still showing signs of the Great War. Dilapidated ruins stretch out before him. He is in quiet contemplation, with his head bowed and his optics off.

PANEL TWO
Lyo approaches Maximus.

1 LYO
Any last-minute advice from the great beyond?

PANEL THREE
Maximus’ eyes glow back to life. Lyo joins Maximus on the outcrop and takes in the view.

2 MAXIMUS PRIME
I think Primus is as occupied as we’ll soon be.

3 LYO
That’s encouraging.

PANEL FOUR
A shot from in front of Maximus and Lyo. Behind them, in the distance, are Maximal Star-Fighters and Maximal troops.

4 MAXIMUS PRIME
Have you ever read the Covenant of Primus?

5 LYO
I’m familiar, but I wouldn’t say I’ve studied it.

6 MAXIMUS PRIME
Any passages stick in your mind?

PANEL FIVE
A close-up of Lyo, with a wry smile.

7 LYO
“And the great dragon was cast out upon the Earth, and his followers were cast out with him.”

8 LYO
Curious that Primal and his crew should return from Earth, don’t you think?

PAGE SIXTEEN

PANEL ONE
Lyo looks to Maximus, but Maximus is still in deep thought, staring at the ground before him.

1 MAXIMUS PRIME
Very. But more concerning is the fact that the War of Beasts was said to herald the arrival of the Xal.

2 LYO
They’re just stories.

3 MAXIMUS PRIME
Given all that’s happening, is it so hard to believe that the Transcension might be upon us?

PANEL TWO
Maximus kneels down and takes a handful of the corroded ground.

4 MAXIMUS PRIME
The day when control of our fate slips from our grasp and falls to a stranger -- one tasked with deciding our destiny.

PANEL THREE
Maximus lets some of the corroded dirt run through his fingers.

5 MAXIMUS PRIME
The fate of the Allspark in his mighty hand and all we have to show for our long existence is a scarred world, a scattered race and a thirst for war.

6 MAXIMUS PRIME
This is what we’ll be judged on.

PANEL FOUR
Maximus stands and wipes his hands clean of the dust. Lyo studies him.

7 LYO
Our race was created as soldiers, engineered to fight in Primus’ struggle with Unicron, and so Cybertron is no stranger to war.

8 LYO
In truth, it could be said that our planet is a stranger to peace, and that the last few centuries have been a dream -- a calm before the final storm.

PANEL FIVE
An angle from behind Lyo and Maximus, looking down. Below them is a thronging army of troops, some carrying Predacon banners. The Predacons are ready to fight.

9 LYO
If the Xal is looking down on us right now, the Predacons are gonna give him one hell of a show.

PAGE SEVENTEEN

PANEL ONE
A close-up of some of the Predacon troops. They’re practically frothing at the mouth in anticipation of the impending battle.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (MAXIMUS)
It must have been some speech.

PANEL TWO
Maximus and Lyo are looking down at the army.

2 LYO
Almost made me wish I was a Predacon.

PANEL THREE
Maximus looks to Lyo. Lyo has a wry smile on his face.

3 LYO
Almost.

PANEL FOUR
A voice from behind Lyo and Maximus captures their attention.

4 MAGMATRON (OS)
Maximus Prime.

PANEL FIVE
Magmatron, Drill Bit and Spittor join Lyo and Maximus at the top of the hill.

5 MAGMATRON
The Predacons stand ready to defend Cybertron.

PANEL SIX
Maximus shakes hands with Drill Bit. Lyo shakes hands with Spittor.

6 MAGMATRON
This is Spittor, and Drill Bit.

7 MAXIMUS PRIME
An honour.

PAGE EIGHTEEN

PANEL ONE
Magmatron and Lyo have looks of great determination on their faces.

1 MAXIMUS PRIME
Lyo was just telling me of your speech, Magmatron.

2 MAGMATRON
I’ve read many of the addresses given by your predecessor. He could inspire through both his words and actions.

3 LYO
Everyone’s gonna need all the inspiration they can get when they see the size of these bots.

PANEL TWO
The five figures are looking down at the army below.

4 MAXIMUS PRIME
I wish it were words that this peace was built on.

5 SPITTOR
Peace, huh? You shoulda just lined us up against a wall and got it over with.

6 LYO
That’s not the Maximal way.

7 DRILL BIT
You know you wouldn’t have been shown the same courtesy, right?

PANEL THREE
A shot of Magmatron and Spittor. Magmatron towers over Spittor, but Spittor fires back his words.

8 SPITTOR
Courtesy? They’ve treated us like dirt for-

9 MAGMATRON
Shut it, Spittor. If the Predacons had won, we’d have melted every Autobot and Maximal down for scrap, then spent the last 300 years fighting amongst ourselves. The Maximals winning was the best outcome for all of us.

10 SPITTOR
Speak for yourself -- sittin’ up there on a Council, kissin’ Maximal skid-plates for a livin’. You got no idea what it means to be a Predacon!

PANEL FOUR
Lyo has tried to calm the situation but Spittor waves him off and storms back down the hill. Drill Bit goes with him.

11 LYO
Save it for the battle, bots.

PANEL FIVE
A final shot of Maximus, Magmatron and Lyo looking over the amassed Predacon troops.

12 MAXIMUS PRIME
If that’s a taste of the passion with which the Predacons will fight, we may just win the day.

PAGE NINETEEN

PANEL ONE
A shot of the Cybertronian Empire armada, with one ship at its lead in focus.

PANEL TWO
On the bridge of the ship, standing before a large window looking out into space is Corvus - Unicron’s herald.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
Corvus.

2 CORVUS
My Lord.

PANEL THREE
A shot from the front of Corvus. We see him in his full creepy majesty.

3 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
I have delayed my ascension until this point -- now a greater battle awaits me, an ancient battle.

4 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
Command is now yours.

5 CORVUS
Our ships could destroy the planet from orbit yet no pre-emptive attack has come. They hide in fear.

PANEL FOUR
A battalion of reformatted Cybertronian Empire troops stand in formation on board a ship, ready to be deployed.

6 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
You would deny your army the honour?

7 DIALOGUE PANEL (CORVUS)
Never. They were denied their conquest the first time -- nothing will stand in our way now.

8 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
Good. Crush this world and all upon it. Build a throne from its ashes.

PAGE TWENTY

PANEL ONE
Full page splash. The engines of the armada of ships fire up. Cybertron, in the distance, is somewhat obscured by the large ships headed towards it, ominously.

1 DIALOGUE PANEL (UNICRON)
So begins the end.

1-2 "to wrap on" means "to knock on", right?

2-1 Comma splice.

3-4 "it will be" > "there will be"?

6-3 A Tyrannosaurus being talked about as an asset? Honest Trailer: Jurassic World comes to my mind.

8-1 Switch in narrative time.

8-5 Switch back in narrative time.

9-5 Switch in narrative time for one panel.

10-1 Switch in-- ah, scrap it.

11-3 Or first-swirly-energy-appendage, as it were :D

11-4 That is totally that scene from Unicron's retelling his story to Death's Head in the Marvel UK "The Legacy of Unicron!"

14-3 "He instructed his herald[...]" I assume that "he" is Unicron, but since right in that moment, The Fallen has more power and agency than Unicron, I could imagine it being the other way round.

15-5 garrRRGgggglllrg...

19-3-5 confused me. My first thought was "If their ships could destroy the planet from orbit, why haven't they done so yet?" Stupid bad guys waiting unnecessarily to give the heroes a fair chance to fight back. Then I understood that Corvus expected to having been attacked by Maximals already.
